About Lori Thomas Art
Born and raised in the lush Pacific Northwest, I grew up on a sprawling cattle farm in Enumclaw, surrounded by the region’s breathtaking natural beauty. Art has always been my passion, but practical considerations delayed my full immersion in drawing and painting until retirement in 2016. Since then, I’ve embraced my calling, honing my craft through numerous classes, active participation in art groups, and a daily painting practice.
My artistic journey began with watercolor, drawn to its portability and ease for capturing the Pacific Northwest’s landscapes during walks and hikes. Now, I work primarily in oils, reveling in their vibrant colors and rich textures. From my 5-acre homestead on the plateau above the White River, I’m inspired weekly by a vibrant cast of wildlife—deer, elk, eagles, hummingbirds, coyotes, and more. I travel regularly to enjoy all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This paradise fuels my work.
My goal is to create art that rekindles our connection to the natural wonders of our planet, capturing the charm and spirit of the Pacific Northwest on canvas.
